Guidance at every step, stroke and swing of your recovery.
About Scarborough Ortho and Sport
I am really excited to bring physical therapy to NXGen Fitness Center. My goal as your physical therapist is to guide you through the healing process, teach you how to manage your condition, and be a resource as you transition from rehab to performance. During PT sessions we will work together to restore quality movement, strength, balance, comfort and keep you active at every phase of recovery. I believe moving well and being strong are two key components to healthy living, regardless of age and activity level.

Treatment sessions are scheduled one to one, giving you the attention needed to maximize each appointment. Individualized exercise programs are a consistent element of my treatment plans and I believe educating you on your condition is crucial for success and preventing re-injury. My treatment style balances guided exercise with manual techniques. My approach takes into account you and your goals, not just your injury in isolation. NXGen provides the ideal environment for a guided exercise progression and a seamless transition from rehab to performance.

As an athlete I have experienced my share of sidelining injuries. Rehabbing and recovering from an injury can be challenging and stressful. The information, guidance and encouragement I provide, will help you feel confident at every phase of recovery. If you have any questions or think my approach to PT is right for you, give me a call or stop in and see me at NXGen. Maine is an open access state, therefore you do not need a doctor's referral to schedule an appointment.

Your first visit is an evaluation. The evaluation process aIlows me to fully understand the history of your current condition and how it's impacting you and your goals.
The evaluation includes a physical exam to assess your movement quality, strength, and balance to name a few areas.
Upon completion of an evaluation, a PT diagnosis is established and together we will create a treatment plan to meet your goals.
Wellness or Athlete sessions are unlike a traditional PT visit. These visits are to assess minor aches or muscular strains that are keeping you from feeling 100%.
During an athlete session you will be screened and we will make a plan to restore you to optimal physical performance.
These visits are not covered by most insurances. Athlete sessions are booked for 45 minutes and payment is due on day of service.
Session Fee $150.00

PATIENT INFORMATION
DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?
The simple answer is no. However, to utilize your insurance coverage for physical therapy, most insurance companies require a referral from your physician or healthcare provider, and they may also need prior authorization before you begin treatment. To expedite the process, have your referral faxed to us.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
Scarborough Ortho and Sport is an in-network provider for most major commercial insurance companies here in Maine. Please note that we are not accepting Mainecare or Medicare at this time.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
You can book online or call to set up your initial evaluation. Once you have been scheduled, you will receive our intake form by email or text. Our clinic's secure, online intake form provides our office with the information needed to verify your insurance and/or request a prior authorization.

INSURANCE VERIFICATION AND EXPLANATION OF BENEFITS
When we receive your completed intake form our office will contact your insurance carrier to verify your eligibility and get prior authorization if required by your plan. We do our best to expedite the process of insurance verification and authorization.
I recommend calling your insurance carrier to get the specifics of your plan. Details that are important to understand are your co-insurance, copayments, deductible, out of pocket max, yearly or condition visit limits, as well as any other restrictions that your plan may have. This step helps you to avoid unexpected treatment costs.
